The Gastronomic SMuggler

By Chef Sanza Sandile

From a small kitchen in Johannesburg’s Yeoville neighborhood to sold-out dinners across the United States — Chef Sanza has spent his life turning food into storytelling. Now, we’re turning those stories into a book.

Part memoir, part cookbook, The Yeoville Dinner Club Book captures the spirit of Pan-African cuisine — its flavors, politics, and poetry — through Sanza’s eyes. It’s a love letter to the table: the one place where struggle, laughter, and liberation meet.

Production begins February 2026, with a late-summer release on the horizon. Every contribution helps bring the stories, recipes, and spirit of Yeoville to life on the page.
